New Partner | Catawba Riverkeeper

We have partnered with Catawba Riverkeeper!

They will be leading the Water Conservation Project and joining us on Project NC. Catawba Riverkeeper is on a mission to preserve, protect, and restore the waters of the Catawba-Wateree River Basin. They work to restore damage from past misuse, monitor and minimize permitted pollution, and mitigate the impacts of development and human irresponsibility to ensure swimmable, fishable, and drinkable water for all.

Catawba Riverkeepers' work includes advocating with counties and local municipalities for the best interests of the Catawba River. You can find them speaking, writing, testifying at public hearings, meeting with elected officials, and participating in local planning and development initiatives. In addition, they monitor water quality and report out to the public the data they collect.

Water Conservation Project

With hundreds of years of development, human irresponsibility, and unchecked pollution, the health of our bodies of water is in danger.

However, protecting them is a complex job. Organizations must focus on preventing further damage by winning legislative battles and advocating for the public. Then, they must restore the damage caused by stormwater runoff, permitted pollution, and much more.

Together, we can help ensure that we have clean and plentiful water for generations to come.
