Wild Cats

Across the globe, there are 40 species of wild cats. 33 of them are small cats, and the other seven are big cats (Tigers, lions, jaguars, cougars, leopards, snow leopards, cheetahs).

All seven species of big cats are listed on IUCN with decreasing populations, and over 1/3 of small cats are listed as threatened or endangered.

Poaching/illegal hunting, habitat & prey loss, and the illegal wildlife trade are all components of why these wonderful animals are threatened.
