Surprisingly, there are cases when we tell people to go and support work in the field instead of using myCharity. Here are some of those examples:
If you have a specific organization you want to support. myCharity donors support causes (ex. cancer), and then we make grants to the most impactful organizations in the field doing work in those focus areas. You cannot choose a specific organization to support.
2. If you have a specific location you want to support. Ex. Homelessness in
Charlotte, NC. We do not have the ability to geo-locate donations yet. Cough cough, it might be en-route.
